About Us

Rock Solid Civil LLC was founded in 2009 by Jim E. Coslett, P.E. In January 2010, Bryan D. Martin, P.E. joined the firm and became an equal business partner. Jim and Bryan have over 36 years of civil engineering experience in the consulting industry. By working at large Idaho-based companies they gained the knowledge of complex projects, financial operations, and business development. This experience provided the foundation for Jim and Bryan to determine the philosophy and vision for their own company.

The partners bring the same values, business philosophies, and work ethic approach to projects but with different backgrounds and experiences. Jim worked in the public sector for a state and county agency in northern California and Idaho, and Bryan with the Idaho Transportation Department. In the private sector they have been the project managers for highway transportation and bridge projects, complicated floodplain development, foothills developments, and municipal engineering projects.

Jim and Bryan continue to seek opportunities to broaden the company's capabilities with the aim of creating more jobs in Idaho. They wish to create a work environment at Rock Solid Civil where people will want to work and they encourage employees to achieve outstanding results while maintaining an active personal life.
